dumb question, are all LS1 camaros and trans am come with posi?
do all Ls1 camaro's and trans am come with posi from the factory?, my co worker did a burnout in the parking lot with his 00 trans am and he was leaving only one tire patch...it seemed weird, iam pretty sure that they all came with posi from the factory am i correct?
Re: dumb question, are all LS1 camaros and trans am come with posi?
i think it depended on the year? from what i heard they went back and forth but that doesn't really make sense to me though to do that

The thought of an engine ballparking 300 horsepower, and similar torque numbers not coming with Posi is... distant. He surely has Posi, but it is malfunctioning.
You will be hard-pressed to find a high performance car without a LSD, anywhere, from any manufacturer. To my knowledge, Z28's have came with Posi since at least the start of the second generation.

All V-8 4th gen f-bodies came with a traction aid differentail of some type
98s came with a clutch style Auburn posi
00 and up came with a gear type torque biasing Torsen diff.
All Firehawks and SSs had optional upgrade posis available.

Your buddy's 2000 T/A probably has the Torsen diff in it. I don't really understand how the hell they work, but there are 6 (I think it's 6?!
) little "worm gears" that move back and forth across a couple other gears (on the spider gears I think?) that will lock the diff when 1 wheel starts to spin.......at least that's what I think happens!
AFAIK, it's possible to spin 1 wheel initially, but maybe I'm wrong??
