Shift Fermness???!?!

I noticed on the hypertech programmers they have a shift firmness option and I was wondering what exactly does it do, how does it do it, and whether it can have an impact on the life of your tranny?

Re: Shift Fermness???!?!

hypertech is junk imo
just get a shift kit installed and that will be a heck of a lot more fun and less worry about breaking something (hypertech just increases line pressure which isn't good)

o, and your title is speeled wrong

yeah increasing line pressure will onyl prematurely wear out seals n such, TransGo is your only safe bet.

Another vote for paying for the Trans-Go.

Re: Shift Fermness???!?!

Increasing line pressure wears out parts? What does the Trans-Go include? I heard the 4l60e already has the larger servo (on the side) that the early 700r4's didn't...

Re: Shift Fermness???!?!

it includes a corvette servo, i know that
the kit also fixes some of the weak links in the tranny that it had from the factory i believe
overall, i haven't heard really any complaints about the kit, other than the cost or the pain of getting it in
