Ever since last week when I flashed the converter on spray, on hard (80% throttle and above) 1-2 shifts, I get a loud BANG. It also does it on hard launches, only when I hook. It does not do it if I floor it from a roll. It started on my last run of last Friday night when I felt a big bang on the initial launch (1.61 60').

I don't think the tranny mount is busted since it would probably do it if I floored it from a roll. Would loose rear torque arm bolts cause this?

 

do you feel it in the seat at all? If so then it is the trans mount.

 

A little bit...it's hard to tell because it's so fast. I'll pull the mount tomorrow and see what it looks like. I'll put my poly back in for the time being just for the hell of it I guess.

 

1 thing you can do is use a long screw drive and use it to pry up on the trans. if the trans lifts, your mount broke.

 

I went under the car and got quite a few turns on the top and bottom torque arm bolts. Gonna take it for a spin in a few.

 

Took it out and did the same ****. Came back and pulled the tranny mount and it looked perfect.....now what?? It feels like it's coming from right under the console...

 

Put my poly mount in....all fixed.
