Drive Shaft Swap

Ok heading to Camaro Heaven in the a.m. to get a one piece ds for my 96 RS. I've read a few posts on the forums about the swap from a 2 piece to a 1 piece and I am not sure which post to believe. Do I need to modify anything to do this or can I just unbolt and swap? Will any one piece shaft from a 93-00 camaro fit my application. I have the automatic tranny w/ overdrive (4 speed?)

Thank you much

Re: Drive Shaft Swap

This is a vague recollection from a series of posts that go back maybe 5 years, but I thought the damper ring on the V8 1-piece DS might possible interfere with something on or near the tranny on the V6 cars. Might want to try the V6 board, since they are most likely the ones who have made the swap.
