Dipstick Color

Is the dipstick for the trans yellow or red on a 95 3.8??????

OK thanks. So does it mean anythingif my fluid is like brownish color....other than I need new fluid.

which one? the trans fluid or the oil? oil new is yellow/blondish, dark brown/black obviously is used.

if its the trans fluid that you are checking, are you using a white rag? trans fluid usually is colored so you can tell it from regular oil. i think its usually red in color. if it is indeed brown you might wanna get it checked out? at least try an atf flush and refill it if you can do that on your own. itll have lower lubrication power, so youll wear it out faster.
