I was looking at getting my 4l60e a pro race build. I saw in CPT transmissions the pro race build. i was wondering do you send your tranny into them and they give it a race rebuild? Or do you get a whole new one? Also what H.P. levels can the pro race build take and I believe the race build and the performance build up. I dont want something too extreme if I dont need it. Thanks.

 

Since you say you don't want something too extreme, then I think you should definitely talk to Frank @ CPT and he can help you figure out your goals and go from there, besides a good thing with CPT they have that refresh deal when you get a tranny built by them, they will upgrade it for a small fee plus upgrade parts.

My opinion is, I would say for your car now you could probably get away with a Race rebuild, and maybe if you do more to it or make it more of a race only car then send it back and have them turn it into a Pro Race later...

Oh, Frank sometime stocks cores, but for the most part you normally send your tranny to them they inspect it and rebuild it with the extra performance parts. Your best bet with that is to call and find out what they can do for you...
