4L60E Converter Duty Cycle question?

Ever since I had my transmission rebuilt with the new converter, at the track my TCC duty cycle always starts to drop at 100mph along with my rpm's. I log my runs with TTS Datamaster and it's showing an RPM drop at 100mph and the TCC duty cycle goes from 90.19 to 38.49 then gradually returns to 90.19 at 105mph.

I dont think it's hurting my ET since it occurs in such a short period of time, but it's bugging me because it didnt do this before the new transmission. Anyone have any idea whats going on here? I'll list the mph and rpm data where the duty cycle starts to drop off.

RPM - MPH - TCC DC
5325 - 99 - 90.19
5342 - 100 - 38.49
5355 - 101 - 49.63
5238 - 102 - 60.77
5144 - 103 - 71.91
5137 - 104 - 83.05
5180 - 105 - 90.19

I'm not sure what the TCC duty cycle is. Can you explain?

Thanks

I'm not entirely sure either I'm hoping someone here knows

I may just break down and buy a book on the 4L60E so I'll know a bit more about'em.

Since this is happening at WOT, it is the torque converter clutch that is coming on. You will have to reprogam the computer to make this happen a lot later, as this will gradually tear up the torque converter clutch.

Thanks for the response. I had thought the guy that tuned my car setup the converter so it would never engage at wide open throttle. I'll give'em a call and get it taken care of before my next trip to the track.

Thanks again

Re: 4L60E Converter Duty Cycle question?

Hopefully its fixed now. I e-mailed the guy that tuned my car about the problem and in less than 20 minutes he responded with the attached program file. I was impressed with how quick he got back with me, cant wait to get to the track and see how it effects my ET.
