How much did shipping run ya for it, and how long did they take to get her back together??

Just wondering as I might be interested in taking mine up there from northern NC. I'm currently shopping around for somebody to do a rebuild for me. I could even take a couple days vacation at my friends in Baltimore if they could do the job in a few days and just wait for them to have it finished.

My Trans cost me about $90-100 from Montreal Canada down to Franks place in MD so it wasnt that bad at all considering that the trans weighs about 135lbs and it was well worth it!

Due to the increased trafic to CPT - Cahall Performance Transmission's Website. Frank & I are in the process of moving his site. Until we have his new domain setup,
you can get to his site through this link: www.cahallperformancetransmissions.com
If you type that URL into your browser it might not work yet, like I said we are still working on that!
But the new site is up!!

You can still use the links out there in your sigs, but if it is out of bandwidth again (Damn Yahoo) click on the link above...

BTW, I think the modifications I made to his site look good, what do you guys think?

Welcome soon to the "12 second" club and welcome now to the "Wife/girlfriend HATES your car" club. There seems to be a direct correlation between the two. If you are in the"Wife/girlfriend hates your car" club then most likely you are going the right direction with the car!!!

Re: Cpt Transmission Race Built Tranny

I have found over the past 27 years, that the reason why women (of all kinds) dislike the faster or quicker vehicles, is that they shift way too firm at light to medium throttle openings (part throttle bang shifts, neck jarring 1-2 shifts that require a chiropracter, losing traction in the rain on part throttle shifts, etc.). This is one reason why I set up all of my units to give smooth part throttle shifts. Part throttle shifts that are way to firm offer nothing in the way of longevity. With smooth part throttle shifts, there are no "downsides" concerning transmisson life, just much easier on the drivetrain in general.

Re: Cpt Transmission Race Built Tranny

ill be sending my trans out in a week if this pcm tuning doesnt pan out like everyone around here seems to think it will and magically make my trans shift right thats... somethin about the shift kit "re-calibrates" the valve body and screws with the obd1 computer... ever run into that anyone? ive never heard of it but it seems to make sense.

Re: Cpt Transmission Race Built Tranny

The Trans-Go Performance Shift kit will not affect the OBD1 computer.
