couple of stall questions

I am think8ing about getting a stall, and have a few questions. First, I have tranny cooler, but will I also need a shift kit? Will the car feel any faster? Will the stall also help me in roll races, or only from a stop? Will I lose anything except gas? Its a 2800 stall. Thanks

most of the help will be from a stop.

it will definitely feel faster from a stop.

It should help you from a roll and a stop. A shift kit isn't necessary.

If you get a higher stall it could help a little from a roll.

With my Yank 2800 from a stop is tottaly different now (huge differance). Also from a SLOW roll there is a huge differance as well... you will notice this right away From a fast roll you dont notice that much of a differance at all.

I see you have a little more than boltons, then depending on how you drive will determine what stall is required. Which brand of torque converter do you intend to go with? How do you drive? conservative, moderate, moderately aggressive, or aggressively? For example, if you drive aggressively, you will like a high rpm stall, if you drive conservatively, you will not like a high rpm stall, and then a lower stall is needed. This will help determine what stall speed you should go with. You talked about racing from a roll? Then a max str of 1.8 would be good here. This will keep the mph up. If you have not made a decision on which torque converter to go with? I would look into the Vigilante or the Edge. Some valve body modifications would be a help here. Have any questions on this and I will be glad to help.
