converter question

I bought a Midwest converter for my supercharged Lt1 and it is suppose to foot brake stall 3000 on et streets at the track, but I havent had it to the track to know.Right now on the street with the et's it only stalls 2300 before the tires broke loose. I have only had it in a day and I was wondering if it would loosen in up any.

On a stickier surface it will brake stall higher. But it's very hard to predict exactly where a given converter will brake stall on a given car unless you have tested it on a very similar combo under similar circumstances. Converters do not loosen up with use though.

is it a midwest 3000? the stall rating is true stall, not brake stall.
the only way to get close to true stall is with a transbrake.

programming will help with the shifts.

my Vigilante 2800 "brake stalls" only to 2000rpm.....

so 2300 sounds about right for a 3000 stall

Programming will not change the stall speed of the converter.

the stall rating is 3400-3600 and I told him I wanted it to foot brake stall 3000 at the track on et's.
