Clutch Recommendation, 97 SS

Admittedly, I don't know anything about clutches for this car. It is basically stock and will remain that way. Are there any brands I should stay away from or one(s) that are highly recommended?

Has anyone heard of a Valeo clutch? That's what came out and it lasted at least 38k miles. That's how many I've put on. Who knows how many more miles it has prior to my purchase of the car.

Thanks!

Re: Clutch Recommendation, 97 SS

Valeo was the maker of the OEM clutch. They often were found in auto part store brand as re-box under that stores name but now typically some off shore no name is what you get.

LUK is a decent replacement clutch kit.Just check disc for 5 springs on the hub vs 4

IIRC the NAPA store brand clutch is LUK
