Cluch disc inner spring broke
Cluch disc inner spring broke
One of my springs on my clutch disc came out/broke off. I only put about 4 thousand miles on the clutch, and pressure plate/complete clutch kit. Could I get away with just replacing the clutch disc with an aftermarket one instead of buying the whole clutch kit?
I don't know much about clutches but I'm learning.
Thanks

So your using your old pressure plate? How many miles did you have on the pressure plate and disk before it broke? I'm thinking of just buying the disk from spec or some other company if everything lines up and works correctly.
Do you have or feel any problems with yours?
Thanks SLP223
Re: Cluch disc inner spring broke
I broke the springs out of one spec sent me a new disk at cost i reused my pp but the i melted that clutch it could spec said it was only good to 700 tq at the flywheel so i did not last long. so i dont how long it would have lasted. also spec told me that transmission run out will affect the live of the clutch hub. I would recomend a stock gm clutch for any thing under around 375rwhp
