changing Slave cylinder

changing Slave cylinder

i need to change the slave on my 97 LT1. never done one before. looks like theres a pin at the fitting that needs to be removed but i'm not too sure. anybody change one that can tell me what needs to be done... thanks.

Replace as a unit......
You can replace parts on it but bleeding is a true pain so by the time you are done it has taken all day then the old part breaks next.

Yes there is a pin that needs to be removed if you choose to do it that way. However as said above it is MUCH easier to change as a unit. I have done it both ways and finally had to get a mighty vac to get it bled.
Do you have a leak at the slave cyl or what is the problem?
