Car feels like someone is holding bumper

When i manual shift the car (a4) and you first let off the gas feels like someone it standing behind the car and holding on and then lets go all of a sudden. Only in 1st gear from a stop and let the car roll without giving it gas. If i accelerate it will move but with a slight hold back. If i leave it in first and do a couple start & stops it won't do it. In drive it has never happened so i can't figure this one out. Maybe something need adjusting.

Sounds like you've got a "tie up" somewhere. This is what it's called when a clutch is coming on/stuck on when it's not supposed to be.

Hi I'm not real sure I'm clear on what you saying but if you have the car in manual low and you give i throttle and let off you will have overun like a braking effect feeling like a drag down and that would be normal however there is no overun effect in the OD position right next to neutral ,

If i let off the brake the car will roll and move in drive. In low gear it is like the brake is on until i hit the gas. Once i move in low it is fine unless i shift out and go back to first.
