Boost Valve in Pump, is there more than one groove for snap ring?
Someone mentioned when the boost valve assembly is installed in a 4L60 pump, there is a second groove that the snap ring goes into? True or not.?

There is only one groove that it is supposed to go in. However there is a "groove" lower than that groove. If you use that "groove" as soon as you put the car in gear the boost valve will blow out and the trans will cease to function. How do you figure I know that little piece of info?

Here in this picture is the one that came out of mine. The top row of pieces came out of it, and with my pressure being 80psi at idle, 1000-1100 rpm ish due to cold, and at tv cable full out (4L60) it was 175-180.
Notice the piieces in the lower pic, the long piece is ground down on top. What does that do, as these were my old pieces.
