Best 4l60e builder?
Hey im looking to have my 4l60e built to handle 500hp w/turbo. Does anybody know what builders are good, and who to stay away from? Ive been looking at CPT, Pro-Built, and Raptor. Right now im leaning towards CPT because of positive posts on these forums, and Frank seems to know allot from talking to him. I still cant get Pro-Built to give me a call. And i have heard some negative comments about those Raptor trannies but that might just be because of higher volume leading to higher chances of a few upset customers. Any input would be appriciated! thanks.

I am pulling my trans in a few weeks for Frank to refresh it. Frank really knows his stuff and he has a few trannies out there on this board that have proven themselves over and over. He is not a high volume guy and his product and customers benifit.

You might talk to Rossler. www.roslertrans.com They build race trannies, but I hear they are also doing the 4L60 and other OD trannies as well.

You know posts like this are subjective and filled with opinions. People are going to recommend a lot of good shops and where they got their stuff done!
I am actually going to do the same thing, but I will add the note that I did a lot of research before doing mine, and Frank was the winner in my book. A lot of outstanding examples, good guy and he know his stuff! Pro-Built is another one who is on the good list, but Frank was my choice. Good luck, oh yeah, don’t go with Raptor!
