I have had this problem since I bought the car, 1993 z28. The speedo and the odometer dont work. When the car is started, the needle will go from resting to 0, but wont move after that. It throws a code 24 pretty often. I have had the tranny rebuilt (unrelated issue), sppedo gears replaced, changed out the VSS and the speedo still doesnt work. Does anyone have an ideas on what might be causing it? Since the 93 has a mechanical speedo, is there cabling I just havent seen?
