Backing Plates??

Backing Plates??

So i just gotta 4th gen rear end. and the brakes and backing plates are off of it. what i'm trying to figure out is how hard is it to pull the axels out to put the plates on, (is there an easyer way) and does any one have any tips for a newbie on how to take apart a rearend and put it back together?

You have to pull the center cover and remove the C-clips to pull the axles.
