anyone heard of performabuilt trannys?

Okay saw on ebay that there is a company called performabuilt that builds 700r4's/4L60's. and that they will supposedly hold up to 500rwhp. and they come with a one yr. warranty. free shipping and a 1800 stall, but I already have a yank py3600. all for 1295.00 just wondering if anybody heard of them. or if not is there a good company around that can build a good 4l60 for my 93' that will hold up for around the same price?

For that price I would talk to Frank at CPT, one of our supporting vendors here.

Yes, our prices are close, but we don't offer free shipping. Remember, you get what you pay for (in most cases). Is this a race ready transmission? Billet servos? Beast sun shell? Best 2-4 band? Best 3-4 clutches? Is it built to run at high RPM's and still hold pressure? I've seen $3000 transmission that only last 500 miles. Check us out, if you'd like. www.cahallperformancetransmissions.com
Check their track record and backround. Check with past customers. Just be certain you're comparing similar products. Most other shops don't use near the quality parts or build techniques that we do.

Thanks,
Frank

Frank makes a good point about getting what you pay for. The parts cost everybody about the same, so if it's cheaper there is usually a reason. That doesn't mean it's "better" if it's more expensive, but you won't be getting the same thing if there is a significant price difference.
