I have a 2001 Automatic Z28 what is my gears? Im sure this has been asked before, sorry. Im in the middle of ordering my stuff for it and i need to make sure I either have everything or i need to send some stuff back. I got the 3.73 ring and pinion and the programmer. I think i need the Install kit and a different differential. LM Performance said I had 2.73's If so then im on the right track. Thx in advance.

 

Just for future reference, try doing a Search for this info.......this question has been asked repeatedly.......

........however, I'll help you out here. Check the sticker on the driver's side door for a code, either GU2 or GU5. If you find GU2, you've got 2.73's, if it's GU5, then you've got 3.23's.

When you ordered your 3.73's, they probably asked you whether you needed them for a 2-series or a 3-series carrier. 2.73's use a 2-series carrier, 3.23's use a 3-series, so that's how you know what type of 3.73's to get.

yea sorr man, it was late at night and i was worrying. Thx for the help though! The door says GU2 so i now have to buy the new carrier. Sorry for any troubles.
