94 z28 T56 problem
Hi everyone,
I was driving my camaro the other day on the highway, and i powershifted from 2nd to 3rd, and from 3rd to 4th at around 5,500 rpms maybe a little more, and when I went to shift from 4th to 5th the car was stuck in 4th. I couldn't get it to come out of 4th gear. So i pulled over and messed with it a little and finally got it to come out of 4th gear. It would shift from 1st to 2nd, but wouldnt shift into 3rd or 4th, but would shift into 5th. I parked it in my garage, went to drive it this morning, but before i did i tried each gear parked. 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th were fine, and so was reverse. it wouldnt go into 3rd or 6th. So i took off and about a mile or so i came up to the stop sign and it was stuck in 4th again. I ended up driving it home in 2nd once i got it out of 4th. Could it be the transmission mount? I replaced three in my auto 93z28 in two years. Any ideas on what would cause it to do that? Thanks for any help you can give, I'd really appreciate it. The 94 only has 72,000 original miles.

congratulations you have bent the 3-4 shift fork
pretty common when power shifting with the stock aluminum piece, expect to have to remove the tranny for a tear-down and rebuild and may i suggest an aftermarket steel 3-4 shift fork
