Talking 6-speed manual to TH350 conversion

What do I have to do to put a TH350 in my current 6-speed 96 SS. My clutch and syncros are out and I have a freshly rebuilt TH350. I just want to drive my car again and was thinking maybe I could do this temporarily until I can get the 6-speed fixed.

Thanks to the post below for giving me the idea.

I think you'd be better off getting the M6 into the shop now - and forget the TH350. Just a few things that you would need to consider:

Swap to Auto Flexplate
Buy a Torque Converter (if you don't already have one)
Driveshaft Modifications / replacement
Crossmember and torque arm changes
Downshift linkage addition
ECU changes
Shifter Change
Starter? (not sure if they are the same M6 vs. Auto - probably are)
Cleaning up all the unused / extra wires, clutch T.O. assy, etc.

All this for a temporary fix By the time you get this all figured out, the M6 will be back and ready to re-install.

Just my $0.02

yea, that would be a lot of work just to get it driving, now if it's going to become a drag car go a head and throw it in.
