How long did your 4.10s last?

Gas milage was about the same for me. Personally I'm going back to 3.42 until I can afford a 12 bolt w/ 4.10. It's really up to you, but I hope you have some spare cash for a new rearend when (not if) this one takes a crap
What clutch where you running? how many miles did it take to break about? how many launches did it take you think?

I'm running the Centerforce dual friction. I love it. I think my problem was that I love to launch at 5600 rpm on ET street's a little more. I probably got about 4K miles and about 15 launches

Re: 4:11? 6 Speed

Ahh.. that explains it... I've never once launched my car above 2000 rpm... so hopefully I should get more like 30,000 out of them, which would be OK for me.. because it'll be winter, and I'll be selling the car or building a new engine by then!

4.30s it is!

If money isn't a huge issue for you... you could always upgrade the differential while you were at it. I just installed a new 10 bolt in my car (today ) with an Eaton HD Posi with the 800lb spring upgrade. I'm running the Motive 4.11's with Moser Axles as well. Seems like it's hit or miss as to if you have problems out of lower gears in your 10 bolt. Depends on driving habits, traction etc etc. I'm hoping this one holds up for a little while, I don't launch very hard off the line so it may stay together for a decent amount of time

The strength of 12 bolts isn't really that good either. A 9" or a 8 3/4" will definately hold up, but I have seen just as many 12 bolts grenade, split, crap out axels, and chew themselves up as 10 bolts.

The strength of a 12 bolt and a 10 bolt is not even compareable.
