3000+ stall not working on lt1??

Ok, I called a particular vendor to get info on one of their stall converters and when I told them I had a '94 lt1 they said that there was a particular year LT1 that there was no way to get the computer to be able to work more than a 2800 stall converter. I don't see how this is true bacause I have and will have Madwolf's programming, not to mention with my cam and motor I will need a converter larger than a 2800 IMO.

look around for things about stall wall or limp home mode. There are fixes out there but I think madwolf just says to fix it you need to go with an ODBII PCM.There are other tuners out there with fixes or work-arounds!

Just doesn't sound right to me. What did you do for your 3500?

If you do a search you will find extensive discussion here of the problem with an OBDI computer and a converter with a stall speed >2,800 rpm.

Bryan at PCMforless also has the fix. Not to mention cheaper and no locked PCM.

"Who is he?"
Ed is a programmer/tuner.

So I guess Madwolf would have this fix as well? I am still waiting to hear from him.

The OBD-I high stall problem usually only occurs when you cut a hard 60' anyway. For street driving there are usually no worries.

Not really mine did it with a 2.03 60' but yes it only happens at the track and there are different versions of the problem out there.

I wiped out my PCM trying to fix it myself, and had to send the PCM out to get the flash chip replaced, because I corrupted mine. I sent it to Bryan @ PCMFORLESS, and he is going have the chip replaced and load his fix for me. I should be getting it back soon. He just emailed me that it was done!
