10 bolt girdle stud preload.....

Just installed a 10 bolt girdle.

The instructions state to torque the studs to 10 pounds. Here is the problem.
My big torque wrench will to go any lower than 20 foot pounds.
My small torque wrench wont go any higher than 60 inch pounds.

I currently have the studs torqued to 60 inch pounds.
Is this acceptable and if not how do I get the correct torque.

Thanks.

10 lb-ft seems excessive. The T/A online install instructions recommend 5 lb-ft (the 60 lb-in you have it set at already).

http://www.taperformance.com/rear.htm

If its a different brand, it might have different spec, but 10 lb-ft seem too high.

I got the summit racing one which is similar, maybe a bit beefier.
The common sense side of me thought 10# was a bit high too.
Thanks

The instructions with the Mac cover (which may be the same piece as the TA) calls for 5 ft lbs.
