10 Bolt

How much RWHP do you think the stock 10 bolt can handle?

It is going to depend entirely upon what kind of tires you use

I have 399rwhp with the stock rear end but am smart enough to keep street tires on it. I'm preparing to do major upgrades to my cars this summer (I better finally get them done or else!!! ) and don't plan on upgrading the rear ends just yet. One should have 600rwhp or thereabouts and will have the stock rear end. But, it can't break if all the car does is spin I'll upgrade the rear once I recover from the other mods

Oh, I'll move this over to the drivetrain forum too

from what i have heard the stock 10 bolt can take alot of HP, its the jerks that tear it up, like a 5k clutch drop, hard shifting, ect.

This is even worse on 6 speeds because they dont preload the drivetrain like the autos do.

I've been running mine with stock axles and an Auburn limited slip with 3.42 GM gears since 1995...I had to replace the Auburn with a Pro Auburn after 4 years because it began to fail...Other than that I haven't broken anything and I make 420rwhp..I'm also an A4 and use BFG Drag Radials which spin just enough to avoid an explosion...Moser says that a 10 bolt with their c-clip axles, Moser gears, and a TA cover with the bearing stud kit will handle 400rwhp....guess I've been doing it all wrong....

CHP magazine just did an article on the 7.5" 10 bolt FYI
