Personaly I think its a decent deal if the workmanship and part quality is good. I paid $1400 to have my 4l60e rebuilt, install corvette servo, new vss, and shift kit. Live and learn I guess. I feel I paid to much yet its warrentied and shifts like a champ. I think these trannies are good money makers for tranny shops. Next time I will try to rebuild it myself though because I have already had to make them replace the gasket that seemed to be ever so slowly dripping tranny fluid which they said was because I was driving it hard (WTF). Wasn't for the warrenty wouldn't go back there. Sorry got off to ranting. A new one or rebuilt from Raptor transmissions with a mild build is like 1700 or 2000 I think depending your build specifications. But haven't had any experience with them plus you run into warrenty fine print.

I paid $2000 to have an entire trans job done on my 4L60E. I had a 2400 stall w/lockup TC, shift kit, and some beefed up other internals put in mine. I felt it was a pretty good deal.

Sounds to me you came out ahead on that one.. if.. they
used good parts to rebuild it.... otherwise, you might want
to look into driving it for a while and seeing how it holds up
and replacing the cluthes and all. Good luck to you on it!

It was 750 with beefed internals and a new Trans Go shift kit.
I pulled the tranny out and took it up to em and then I reinstalled it.

I live in Maryland. I got it from the for sale section on a local f-body site. The guy had broke the input shaft with his 11 sec firebird had it repaired for only a few hundered bucks (from the guy that built it) then bought a t-300 or 400 or something and sold this one cheap. Heck i dont even need a new trans yet but as soon as i get mt TQ converter i think i will.

If you are interested in haveing the same guy build you a trans (they are good to 10 sec) and can get some more info on him
