Removing or moding the PHB "brace"

will this hurt anything as far as daily driving or handleing at the strip my catback is sitting right on the thing and it rattles.. I was thinking of cutting out a section and welding it back up. But if its not that important to keep I will just leave it off I dont take turns too fast with it anyways.

It centers the rear end and keeps it from moving left and right. Say one takes it off and turns to the right. The right rear tire is gonna be rubbing the inner fender wheel worse then putting in huge drag slicks. Play around with the exaust to make it fit right.

He's talking about the panhard bar brace not the panhard bar itself. (I hope)
There was a thread here on this subject last month and many that use their cars on the track only have removed it.
For street use I would think that it would be best to leave it there.

Yes I am talking about the "BRACE" Not the "PHB" I have drag springs and removed the front sway bar to going real fast out curvy roads isnt this cars thing.. I think I will give it a go and see how it does.Or just cut a notch in it and weld it back up.

i took mine off to relocate my panhard rod upwards to clear wheelie bars. i have had no problems driving it on the street. my tires are VERY close to the inner wheelwell and taking the brace off did not cause them to start rubbing any so the bracket must not flex much if at all. with the PHR raised upwards on the braket though it would be putting less leverage on the bracket than with it mounted in the stock hole

well it is off and still drives the same. I havent took it out any back roads yet.. Just 35mph zones. But as far as I can tell it will be fine off there.. So unless I have any trouble that is the way it will stay... The End

I've had it off on 3 cars now cause of 4" exhaust. Two were street cars, one was race only and none have ever had any problems. The current car is slammed and still doesn't have any problems.
