Need a fast answer

I'm heading to the track in about an hour for the first time. I have never run my car at the track before and I did a search and came up with some interesting tips.

1). do a quick burnout to remove debree (no DR's yet so no water and no need to heat them up)

2). Go on last yellow not on green.

3). stall my auto to 1500 rpm's and flash into a full throttle for hopefully a 2.0 second 60 foot time.

4). always let the car closest to the exit lane exit first even if he is much slower getting to the end.

5) DO NOT SPEED anywhere but the run itself.

6). drop tires in back to 30 psi

7). No AC and tops on, windows up.

8). drive in 3 not D.

9). Bring helmet and long pants.

Now am I forgetting anthing?

I read somewhere to bring shoe polish to write a number on your window. Do I really have to bring shoe polish? I don't have any and it would be out of my way to go buy some. Do they sell something at the track I can use and if so how much?

I'm going to route 66 raceway in Joliet IL so anyone know what elevation is?

Thanks

Looks like you've got it down pretty good.

If you're just test n tuning, you won't need shoe polish. If you plan on doing any bracket racing, you'll want to get some.

Brook,
Lid and catback LS1 cars with a stock converter won't pull any better than about a 1.95 in really good air. I've got probably 200 2.0x runs with mine. And that's dead hooking and flooring it right at the yellow.
Just a data point.
