Removing front swaybar?
hey guys i went to remove my front sway bar today and got stuck... i removed the center bolts but the bolts that hold it to the front suspension wont come off... the whole thing turns not just the bolt. i tried to sneak a wrench to hold it from the bottom but its like impossible.... any tricks??
thx!

The endlinks? Stick a wrench on the nut on top, and use a socket with an extension and theres alittle access hole underneath the a-arm to get at the bolt head, then just loosen it.
They are probably really rusty and you might as well just cut them off and buy new endlinks though. I snapped both mine when I installed my new hotchkis bar.

This is dead on correct. Anti-sway bars do nothing but control body roll. With the front one gone and a good back one still there all you will notice is that if you push it too hard in a corner or curve it will complain (the tires will yell at you to slow down).

Pulled my front bar off a while back, run QA1s so I just tighten the fronts up, car doesn't handle much worse than my buddies 94 Z28 with 90K miles and all original suspension down to a set of stock decarbons. Still handles a lot better than my S-10 Blazer

If it hooks on the radials, I don't really expect an improvement without the sway bar. It seems to me that a car thats already hooking could actually 60' worse without the sway bar, since power will be lifting the front more instead of pushing the car down the track.
Does this make sense, or am I thinking too much?
