Post your th400 dyno numbers and track times
Ive just swaped over to a th400 and to a solid roller setup . Im getting the car retuned feb14th and was just curious as to what your cars have dynoed and track times and weight of your car convertor size and all.
Trying to get a good Idea of how much power is lost with a big convertor and th 400 and what kind of times are ran and at what weight
I appreciate any replys,

Engine dyno:
N/A: 486HP
1-stage N2O: 633HP
2-stage N2O: 762HP
Chassis dyno w/ Street Twin, T56, 3" chrome molly DS, Strange 12-bolt, 3.73s:
N/A: 425rwHP (12.6% loss)
1-stage N2O: 555rwHP (12.3% loss)
2-stage N2O: 670rwHP (12.1% loss)
Chassis dyno w/ loose, non-locking convertor, TH400, 4.10's:
N/A: 390rwHP (19.8% loss)
1-stage N2O: 505rwHP (20.2% loss)
2-stage N2O: 600rwHP (21.3% loss)
Running N/A, there was no appreciable change in ET or MPH. But then my manual shifting was really poor.

Times in the sig. Have no idea how much rwhp the combo makes. I did go a best of 11.88@117mph NA with the 6 speed right before I broke ( no N2O times with the 6 spd) and went a best time NA in the sig with the th400. I will be dynoing this sat if the weather is good.

The best pass on motor is a 11.55/117.2
Race weight was then a porky 3,760#.
It was actually slower with the M6, but as I noted, that was my inept driving, not the car's fault.
Hitting the first stage about 60ft out, it ran an 11.1@127.7 The converter is set up to flash to 5,000rpm on the full 300-shot, so it doesn't really come off the line very well without the full 800ft-lb behind it. Hence the small improvement in ET. Haven't sprayed the full shot off the line yet..... waiting for Spring.

I feel that I "lost" about 40hp in the conversion. My times were about the same cause I did a weight reduction when the auto went in. I think that I would of been .4 to .5 slower at the same weight. This is a LT1 bolt on car. No dyno figures but I have a lot of track time with the car.
I will be going to a TH400 pretty soon.
As much as I like driving my car to the track, the appeal of having a tranny brake again, slicks and some real consistancy is pulling me away from my OD tranny.
Who knows.
