New Best STREET TIRE MPH and E.T. - Videos
Was bored tonight so I headed out to Speedworld to see what I could do on street tires with the new long tubes. It was 90* + tonight.
My best run of the night was a 13.182 @ 110.064. The run went as follows:
60' 2.245
330 5.785
1/8 8.666
MPH 86.554
1/4 13.182
MPH 110.064
The 350 Z ran a 14.800 @ 96.244.
My previous best (with the shorties) on street tires was a 13.2 @ 108, in the winter (~60*). I was definitely happy to hit the 110 mark on street tires because I have consistently ran 2 mph faster on slicks than on street tires. My previous best 1/8 mph on street tires was 84. The car was spinning hard into 2nd and 3rd and with the slicks, 88 mph in the 1/8 should be attainable.
Below is the video of the 13.1 @ 110 (camera wouldn't focus very well):

As I was getting ready to leave, a guy driving a hatch approached and asked if I wanted to run. He said he wanted to run something that would be some competition. I obliged. The driver was pretty arrogant. Anways, below is the video:

I ran a 13.325 @ 109.984 to his 13.8 @ 107.
All in all, I'm very pleased with the long tubes. I Can't wait for it to cool down and make some passes on the ET Streets.

God, those 350Zs are incredible pieces of ****.
I wish Nissan would have had some *****..maybe make the car as fast as it looks..or at least decently fast. Maybe they could have put some turbochargers on that thing and actually approached 350 hp. Those things run like '80s or early '90s sports cars. And you see these people racing around in them..it's just pathetic.
For the price, they should be solid 12 second cars. We're in 2003 for Christ's sake.
Pussies.

Yeah I was out there wed. night to, couldn't hook with my new tires though so I only could manage 2.1ish 60s and a best quarter of 13.66 I think. If I could have hooked a new best would have been in order maybe.
Oh and I had the black z-28 with Torq-thrust IIs that was really dirty (hey I replaced a header gasket before going so no wash)
