Got the engine and trans done and now it's time to bolt on some slicks and go to the track. Still need to do shocks and springs and I will do that soon. Obviously I want to go with as wide a slick as I can get under the car. I was thinking of 15" X 10" wheels, but don't know how much backspacing I need. I was figuring on using a 28" X 10.5 slick. On the street, I have ZR1 wheels and 315's. Car sits at stock height and will not be lowered, but Eibach drag springs are in the near future. Trans, rear end, gear, etc are in sig. Any suggestions would be helpful.

A 10.5 slick is pretty wide even for a fourth gen. I ran 29 x 9 slicks for the last couple of years with very little problems and just upgraded to 29 x 10. I needed to cut away some of the inner fender at the front to get them in.

It's really going to depend on the backspace. With a 10" rim you might have to push it out a lot (less backspace) to get a 10.5" slick in there and then the tire will stick out past the fenders.

I use a 10" rim with 5.5" backspacing but a fourth gen is a little different because the diff is wider.
