I need some tips on lightening my transam. My car is putting down 416 to the wheels but it weighs in at 3800 with me in it. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks

Spare and jack are the first to go. If you are talking about running at the track, you can also take out the back seat.

......without messing with the structural itegrity of the car, there really is no more you can do. Other than if your looking to throw down more traction than slip on some 315's in the back.

Thumbs up

Another way to take some weight off is to wear nothing, and not eat anything beforehand. I run the 1/4 mile naked and hungry.

Unless you have sticky tires I would keep the gas in the tank for traction purposes. The swaybar removal as Steve says will aid in weight transfer and remove a bit of weight from the front where you need it. If you are looking for more of a race car than a street car you can remove the AC for some weight savings, but if you still want it on the street, keep it.
