1/8 times for stock LT1

I have a local track but it is "only" a 1/8 mile. I have seen lots of information about 1/4 mile times on stock LT1's but what is ballpark for a 1/8 mile time? I know there are lots of variables, but fire somethin out anyway

Ive seen bone stock LT1s around here run anywhere from 8.90s-9.40s pretty consistant.
If you have a 2.73 geared auto then you will be closer to the high end and if you have an M6 then you will dip near the lower end.
This is all if you have adequate track conditions, weather conditions and can drive the machine to its potential.

Mine went 9.2 at 77 when it was stock. Friend of mine's stock 95 Z28 convertable (auto, 3.23) went 9.0 at 77. It would 2.0 60 foot everytime. The car wouldnt spin. Was wacky I tell ya.

Back in the day when my car was stock it went 8.90 The norm for LT1 cars around here seems to be 9.20-9.30 stock.

I did talk to a guy a few years back at the local track and he had a 97 TA with the 3:23 gearing in his auto. He was running consistant 8.85-8.87 @ 81 mph.

It made me mad at the time because my 97 TA would struggle to get a 9. teen and all I wanted was to dip into the 8s.

He told me he was bone stock and it pissed me off beyond belief.

Competently driven M6 or 3.23 A4 car sould be around 8.7x-9.0x in good weather. 2.73 A4 will be a touch slower.

My 97 SS, went 8.90@81mph with 6spd, my buddies 96 WS6 auto went 8.71@81 with me driving. difference was 60ft. I pulled a 1.89 with the WS6 and a 1.96 with the SS, both on street tires and stock.

My friend's ran a 8.59 with only B&M Ripper. No one could believe it. His car is unusually fast though, and he really knows how to drive. Jose, it was Thomas with the black Z28 that normally has his cutout open and is loud as **** (the run was made with the cutout capped). I am not sure if you saw him run that or not. Thought I would check because I figure people with throw a BS flag on this.

You didn't believe he was bone stock did ya I've never seen a stock auto LT-1 run faster than 9.20's in the 1/8th stock, most in the 77-78 mph range.
