Question E.T. street questions

I currently have a few bolt-ons, built tranny with 3000 stall, 373's and a NX wet kit spraying 100. I won't be spraying out of the hole but I'd like to know how my rear end is going to hold up with a set of 16" E.T. streets. I have ran Nitto's and although I like them alot on the street, I can't hook at all on any of the tracks I have been to. I've tried expirementing with different P.S.I.'s and launch techniques with no prevail. I have an extra set of 5 star silver wheels to mount the E.T. streets on.
Questions 1
What size do you guys recommend for a 16" wheel?
Question 2
Again, not spraying out of the hole, how well will my rear hold up? Should I worry about breaking it with my mods?

Thanks for the help.

26x11.5x16 works well on stock rims. You will definitely get more traction than with DR. I have a stiff suspension (1LE parts, not drag friendly) and run low 1.5 sec 60' times on a good track. Rear end? Anyone's guess.

run et streets at around 17psi, make sure to do a good burnout, right were the water meets the dry pavement. make sure to drive around the water box, and back up in it. I will tell you, if you have a stock 10 bolt, that is history!!

You're right about the burnout. Although if you have skinnies on the front it's not really necessary to drive around the water box.

As for the stock 10 bolt, it depends on what kind of shape it's in to start with and how well the gears were set up when they were installed. I have 4.10's and had 670 passes on mine and a lot of street abuse before I took 4 teeth out of the ring gear

I know guys running mid 11's with stock rear ends without premature failure. But they are all auto's. Guys with M6's break them all the time.

Just my $0.02

exactly right about the skinnies. I had 4:10's in my m6, and had about 30 runs, some street abuse, and BOOM!! Twice! Had to go Moser...

Thanks for the replies. My rear was set up by a very experienced installer so hopefully I'll get some a few passes before it goes. Thanks again.
