DR question

I am sure this is the wrong area for this question but hopefully it gets moved where it belongs. I apologize in advance to the MOD. I bought some 4th gen firebird swirl rims for DR's and was curious if they are structurally sound for that purpose. I knwo lots of people use salad shooters so I figure these are basically the pontiac version. Let me know. Otherwise I need to sell em and find some salad shooters :P I just couldnt pass up the price tho.

The 16X8 TA rims will fit 255-50-16 DR and that is a good spare Drag rim to use at the track. I have a pic of those rims on some ET streets so you can see what it will look like. I do run the DR on them as well but i just happen to only have the ET pics.

OEM rims are quite strong, much stronger than the typical rim made for drag racing. They are heavy though.

Yes the swirl type rims are what i'm talking about. Yes that is Santee Dyno Shop which is like 5 miles from me. I still need to dyno tune my new cam set-up. Did you see the swirl rims (on ET streets) in my web page (2nd and 3rd page). Thanks for the comment by the way.
