chasing those pesky 9's
chasing those pesky 9's
im the owner of combintaions '01 ss. new best with the combination motorsports heads/cam combo. 10.48 @ 129.3 with a 1.49 60'[200 shot on stock bottom end]. the heads are cnc stage 2(with the new spring design). the cam is quite large at 236/238 and over .600 lift on both intake and exhaust. right now we are having issues with the tranny and converter. the converter in there now is the same one i had when i was running the 4.56 gears. so its flashing a little high on the juice(5800 rpm's
). plans are in the works for a 400 with a brake and a vig converter. hoping to get it to the 9's might be a little optimistic, but we are confident we can get pretty damn close. and even though nitrous makes its own air, the da was 4900 feet on that run. video of that run should be up in the next day or 2.

You'll probably slow down with the TH400. It's heavier and takes more HP to turn. Consider using a TH200c (metric 200) or a powerglide instead.
The TH400 weighs 130 pounds and uses 44hp. The powerglide weighs 97 pounds and uses 18hp. The Metric 200 is almost identical in performance to the powerglide except it has an extra gear.

Great numbers and I'm sure you'll get 9's once you get everything dialed in and the tranny swapped out. BTW any NA times? Are you spraying through a single fogger?
