Thumbs up 9.71 @ 140.54 mph :) 1.29 60'

well got to try out the slightly modded suspension! all i can say is awesome, car lifted straight and went straight. first run off the trailer netted me a 9.71 @ 140.54 mph. once i got past 60' out the car was skating everywhere! GRRRR!!!!!!! oh well!

next pass pulled my longest wheelstand to date, i would estimate 45-50 from the video! about 8 - 12 inches in the air the whole way! how sweet that was! that was a 1.34 60' car went 10.01, skating again!!!!

last pass......1.34 60' car again left nice and straight, forgot the bottle i grabbed had been slightly used, pressure went to **** by the time i grabbed 4th(ran a 10.1 @ 133.XX mph). then it gets really good or should i say interesting... i lift at the end of the track and put it in neutral, kill the spray and the throttle stuck open!!! not WOT, but enough that it first shocked me and then needless to say i turned the key off and rolled down! doh!!!!! i will pull the throttle body to see why it jammed up on me!

thanks to the crew for all of the help today!

And all this using a stock LT intake! Now that's impressive!

Good Job!

thanks guys, although i would love a sheetmetal intake! i guess that can wait till next winter, for now it is the li' ol' LT1 intake. Jim, is your motor done yet? just wondering if you were going to get your car down the strip this year or not? g'luck either way hope it is done soon.

when the revs starting climbing i think in my head i said "oh ****" then turned the key off, then i realized i couldn't steer as it was locked, lol!!! so i turned the key back to "on" so i could at least steer the car. lots of fun when you are slowing down from 133 mph

it was funny i really had to steer the car down the track! they were spraying the first few feet, but after that you were on your own! lol!

Hey Taner,

I'm still waiting. I called out there and they said they had a problem with the heads, AFR supposedly didn't cut the seat deep enought and Wade had to pull the seats back out and make to correction.

I seriously doubt that I will be making any runs this year but that was not by my choice nor any of my doing. I hope I can get my engine back before the end of the year. I never expected it to take almost a year to build this motor. What a learning experience to say the least.

I will see ya out in the spring either way.

LOL!!!

Just FYI,

When you make the decission for rings and rods you may want to look into the Hell Fire's. These rings are tough as nails when it comes to getting beat to hell with nitrous, the only down fall is they do require some time to seat in the bore. Throw a set of Fowler alumn rods in it. There are perfect for the street and will last ya a few years. LOL!

Hearing you tell me your going to upgrade your rods and rings I can only image what your going to shot your car with. LOL!! Just let me know how that 6 speed responds to 600hp worth of nitrous.

See Ya,
Jim Winn

600 shot!!! what are you crazy.

actually i want to start the year at a 350 hit, and then move up to a 400 pill by the end of the year. the rods i have are good but i don't want to exceed what they can handle!

That's what all you nitrous guy's say. I'm only spraying a 150 hp but in all reality are shooting 400 to 600hp. LOL!!!
