Question 6.6 @ 105.11- 1/8mile, what does that translate into the full 1/4

well finally got to spray the car yesterday, yeah!!!!!! thanks Roman and Rob and dave for coming out! all of the tuning went as planned. only issue i had was 3 times when i was shifting the system would shutdown completely once in second, third and fourth. then in third and fourth and also at the top of third and then fourth.

after taking a close look under the hood, i noticed the flimsy wot switch bracket would move when the throttle was open wide open, and the system shut off . so that is my next project over the next week and a half.

so considering that was my closest run to a full eighth mile any idea what it would've run? i had two runs that were 10.65 @ 115mph, and 10.66 @ 124 mph, also one run of 11.2 @ 114mph.

man did it feel good to lay down some 1.45,1.46, and 1.48 60's!!!!!!!!

According to my Motion Software Desktop Dragstrip program, 6.60 in th eigth would give you about 10.34 @ 131.9 MPH in the quarter.

FWIW, you can normally take an 1/8 mile time, multiply by 1.56 and you'll get pretty damned close. Check some previous slips.

i would use that method. i just checked 10 differnt NA and N2O slips, and every time it was within .02 of my actual 1/4 ET

Cool

Congrats TanMan... A little more hit, a little less shutting down and some high nines are coming.

By the way... I hear the tuners ALWAYS adjust the activation switch a little loose... It's easier to tighten it later then it is to rinse out pee-pee'd in driving suits!!!

HInk (maybe some day MY N2O will work)

HInk,

how have u been, i realize that last year at M6 i didn't MISS a gear, it did the same thing as last year, as soon as i hit 3rd, and also 4th there was nothing, 'cept motor of course. so last year it was just the fact that the flimsy chinsy pathetic little bracket was moving on me! i am happy about that at least! i can fix that, and don't you worry, those high nines are but a cooler day away.
i have the basic safe tuning figured out for the hotter weather at least. now with a billet bracket and maybe a wee bit larger shot i will be there. the shot i am running now i think is good for 10.0's to teens which is awesome in itself but i gotsta get me that elusive 9 sec. slip. at least i can be the first to do it in an LT1 6speed! (i think)
Kurtis,
thanks that is cool, so my 6.3 in the 1/8th at M6 last year would've netted me approx. a 9.83, WOW!!!!
may even go racing with Roman this weekend if he can get his trans buttoned up. us six speed guys gotta stick together

maybe i'll get a 9 sec. pass for my birthday!
