Wideband question

I noticed today with my key on engine off my wideband reads 14.7 - 14.9. I think it read that for a couple of minutes. Is this just a default until it warms up ? Shouldnt it read something else when there is no air or fuel being pushed past it?

Re: Wideband question

i was thinking it should be reading 14.7 (stoichiometric / atmostphere level pressure). Mine reads the same thing 14.8-15.0
Its probably just fumes in the exhaust, dont worry about it.
You dont need to recalibrate it or anything

Re: Wideband question

That's good to hear. I still cant wait to get it on the dyno and compare it to the wideband there. Mine does some odd things sometimes. Today I noticed when driving hard at part throttle it would read super rich or super lean for a brief moment then go to normal. Something is very wrong with that.

Re: Wideband question

Well in detail, I noticed that whenever I just sit in the car without the negine running the a/f ratio reads 14.7 +-3. I was starting to question if the gauge was accurate. I hope to have it on the dyno after my tranny is rebuilt. Then I can compare the gauge to the dyno.

Re: Wideband question

Dude, you lost me. Please explain how I cant compare my plx readings to those of another wideband on the same car? What would be meaningless?
