What things cause "Limp Mode"??

Im pretty sure o2 sensors cause this, what else?

My car goes into this mode right after I start it. Fans kick on, A/F guage stays at one point, car seems down on some power, and gas mileage is 10mpg.

Anyone have a list of things?

well for some reason i can't scan the codes. There is an SES light tho and after about 6 seconds of startup the fans turn on with the ses light, all fuses (even airpump) are good.

there is no such thing as limp mode. you have SES for some reason... probably O2 sensor related if you are getting 10 mpg. figure out which one is bad and replace it... yes it is that easy. the reason you are getting bad gas mileage is b/c your car is staying in open loop so the computer isnt allowed to make the necessary adjustments from the feedback available by the O2 sensors.
