Weird things with TunerCat
Weird things with TunerCat
I just got the cable for my car today and used TunerCat to download the car's calibration file to the laptop. The VIN # is correct but however when I go to the Speed Calibration screen it says it's a y-body car with a rear end of 3.07. 3.07's weren't even an option for my car according to the tables I have on it. What gives this wrong information does anybody know?
Also looking at the tables between performance mode and normal mode for the A4 tranny I don't see differences so how come the car behaves differently in performance mode? What tables should I be looking at?
Thanks for any help you guys give,
Rob

Just a default??
That may just ba a TunerCat default until you put in your own data. My TunerCat was the same way until I put in my own data and applyed it. I may be wrong, but thats just my guess. I'll see how accurate it is cause i'm gonna program it today and i'll check the speedo. I was 2mph off before and it was programmed by someone else. We'll see how accurate it is after.

It is just the speed calibrater defaults, if you check the constants you will see the values for the speedo settings of your car. Unless you put some different gears or tires on your car, when you input your stock values it should show up the same as what your speedo constants are.
