Wake up PCM, wake up!

Ok, so I acquired a new PCM that's been reman'd, but for some reason, my laptop won't communicate with it. I am using tunercat, and it gets about halfway through the communication phase, then sends me a message that says no response from PCM. I've been trying to reflash it to no avail. Does anybody have any advice? FWIW, it's an OBD 1 conversion. Is this a bad PCM out of the box? Also, it's A1 Cardone part number 77-8051F. TIA.

That's your problem.....lemme guess, you bought it from Advance? Chances are it WAS bad out of the box.

Luckily for me, I didn't buy it, otherwise I'd be mad as hell. And it came from O'Reilly's. From what I gather, If it gets half way through a read, then stops, then the second side chip is corrupted and needs replaced. I forget which flash chip, either the Timing or the Events chip is bad. Can anyone tell me which chip it is?

Have you tried flashing it? Reading I notice fails 1/2 the time. but yeah as far as timing or events I believe first is timing.

Yes I have tried flashing it, but it just won't get past halfway through the establishing communication phase.
