how do i bypass vats in the PCM...

ok heres my problem, i sold my old motor and tranny to a buddy of mine along with my tuned PCM... how do i bypass the vats in the PCM to allow it to send the signal to the theft module to start the fuelpump (w/o sending the pcm to someone to and have them remove the vats)?

I just went thru this with my motor so here it is.. The VATS or BCM depending on what year vehicle, sends a signal to the PCM. The PCM then allows the injectors to fire or not. The PCM does not tell the VATS to turn on the pump... the pump will turn on regarless. The VATS lookes at the key... if its ok then it sends a signal to the PCM and the PCM then allows the engine to run. It is a frequency signal not a positive or ground. You have 2 choices, tune it out or buy a VATS signal generator. Painless makes a box that you supply 12 v to and it will generate the same signal to send to the PCM allowing your engine to run.
