VEMaster for 93's
VEMaster for 93's
As Dan K. has said, I've finally released a version of VEMaster that works on 93 F and 92-93 Y cars (ecm code DA3 and DA2 respectively). You can get it at:
http://home.attbi.com/~jgeorger/vemaster/
It also supports 91-92 F, 90-91 Y (8D).
Big NOTE: you need to drive the car to get relevant data. Idling in park/neutral doesn't hit the fuel trim cells VEMaster uses.

OK, wait. So does that mean on my buddies 93 Z if we don't have the speedo hooked up because of his having a turbo 400, that the computer won't use cells 1-15?
That would solve our problems right there!

Howdy Joe,
Awesome software. I went out and drove the 93 YBod yesterday running errands and Datamaster logging at the same time. Came home and ran VEMaster and this morning will burn a new chip.
(one thought....you might have VEMaster allow modification to the file but with a new name....i.e, add a line to allow the old chip <say 93YVer1> to come out of VEMaster with a new name <say 93YVer2>. That way a user could keep better track of chip versions.)
Thanks for all your work. It will make my life a lot easier, what with three 93s <race car and two 383s>.
Now those of us with Datamaster and TunerCat can tune as well as a dyno shop!!
Thanks again,

Joe,
We got the speedo hooked up in my buddies car and we're now getting some of the fuel trim cells. But VEMaster still won't change the file at all. The log says it isn't seeing any records in those cells. But the datamaster log definitely shows the car using 5,6, and 7 extensively. (Still have to set up the rpm and map boundaries too...not sure what to use.) Any ideas?
Also, his speedo isn't very accurate at all...but by using the road speed constant datamaster is seeing a fairly accurate speed.
Anyone know why the speedo in the dash shows different than what datamaster is showing?

Dan,
I have changed the Road Speed Constant before. And apparently it did tell the computer the car was going at the correct speed (I had 4.10s at the time) but the speedo still showed an incorrect speedometer reading.
