VEmaster will it help a MAF car?
VEmaster will it help a MAF car?, I know u have to put the PCM in SD mode but if u are running in MAF mode will the PCM even use the VE table contents? I am curious because my uncle used VEmaster on his 94 z28 and it put his BLM'S all out of wack, big splits of 20 to 30 all under 3000 rpms. He now claims that VEmaster dosent work and i refuse to believe that, I say he is wrong!
I used to think it would but no it really doesn't have any effect on maf mode. I do still use ve master though and consider it part of a full tune. That way if there is in fact a maf failure you have GOOD tables to limp home on in speed density.
I ran VEmaster on my uncle's tune last night and logged the car three times and ran VEmaster each time and now the BLM's are all from 128 to 129 from idle to 3000 rpm's BUT now the car feels like it has lost 100 HP
I know the VE tables effect the overall tune but if the BLM's are now within the 128 range should i now play with the MAF tables. Why did the car feel like it lost so much HP? Is it because the tune was lean and now with the BLM's in line i have to adjust fueling? Before i ran VEmaster the BLM's were from 140's to 130's from idle to 3000 rpm's but would sometimes be right at 128 at curtain MAP's..........Could it be bad O2's? WE ALSO DID NOT SEE ANY KNOCK DURING ANY LOGS, EVEN AT WOT.
