trouble code p1361? help!!!!!

ok i have a 96 lt1 with a deltec opti direct kit on it ( coil packs). well the car started backfireing then eventully shut off today. i ran the codes on my hypertech an i got this code.ive looked at a couple of post on here about this code. ive checked all wires dealing with the deltec kit, all wires look good. could it just be a bad coil? any help will be greatly appreciated

Opti is still required. The Delteq requires the optical sensor (back 1/2 of the Opti) output to set the spark timing. It does not use the cap/rotor (fornt 1/2 of the Opti) high voltage function.

And, your PCM still needs the optical pulse signals to set the fuel injector timing.

If the Opti optical sensor was not producing the low resolution pulse pattern, the engine would not run. But the PCM would set code P1371, which you don't have.
