tapping pin in ecm help

I have to tap a pin in the blue connector on the ecm. I opened the back of it up (clamshell) do i have to go any further in or do i just have to put the pin into the little holes. Cause it looks like it has to come apart farther. Thanks Prorac1

Re: tapping pin in ecm help

You should insert the pin until it comes out just a bit further than the others are and then pull back a bit until it stops. The plastic lip should keep it in place and then the blue cover will keep the lip from moving, so it will stay in place.
