switching to OBDI & tunercat?

hey, can i simply buy a 95 or earlier PCM and then use tunercat for my car or is there some problems id run into?

i cant afford LT1 edit.....

You will only need to buy a 94-95 knock sensor that screws into the block. The 96+ have a different resistance.

hows the difference in sensativity? ive also got a LT4 KM in my PCM now. could i just change it to the OBDI pcm with no problems?

As far as OBD1-OBD2, the LT1 and LT4 knock modules are the same part number. The knock sensors are not. One reads in the 30 Ohm range and the other in the hundreds I believe.
